Raise Credit Scores
Your credit score is based on a mathematical formula developed by FICO that takes a blend of certain things to calculate your credit risk. These are approximate formulas to determine your credit worthiness to banks and lenders so they can decide if they want to loan money to you or approve your application for a credit card. To raise credit scores, you need to pay attention to these different factors which make up your score.

Credit History
Your credit history makes up the bulk of your credit score. With over one third of your credit score dependent on this factor, you should take note to focus on this area. The credit history includes your bill payments and how likely you are to pay your future bills on time. To get a good grade in this area, be absolutely sure to pay your bills on time each and every time. It helps to set your monthly recurring bills on auto-pay to pay at least the minimum so that you don’t miss a payment.

Instantly Get a Copy of Your Credit Score For Free

Credit Utilization
Almost a third of your credit score is dependent on your credit utilization ratio. This formula is the amount of debt you owe divided by the total amount of credit you have available to you. For example, if you owe $2,000 on a credit card and have a $5,000 credit limit on that card, then your credit utilization ratio is 40%. This particular example shows someone with a high credit utilization ratio. It’s important to keep this ratio under 20%. Besides individual credit cards, you must look at your credit as a whole. Take the total amount of debt you owe divided by the total amount of credit you have from all lines of credit. This percentage ratio should also be less than 20%. It is most ideal to keep it at 10% or under.

Credit History, Credit Lines, Types of Credit
The length of your credit history is important. If you had your first credit card at age 18 and have not closed it for 10 years, that is a good amount of credit history to have available to you. This shows that you are responsible financially and can have credit without ruining it. The number of credit lines you have open is important along with the types of credit. A mixture of loans, credit cards, and a mortgage will help you.

Get your free credit score once a year just like you go to the doctor for a check up. It holds the same weight in importance as getting a yearly check up. Keep reading more to find out.

Free Credit Score Once a Year
When you go to see a doctor or dentist, you go on a regular interval. Whether if it’s twice a year, three times a year, or just once a year – maintaining that regular schedule is the best way to prevent any issues. Also when something is caught early on, it can be fixed right away. Think of getting your free credit score once a year like an annual check up that you need to do to stay in top financial shape.

Getting sick at the doctor’s office is equivalent to having negatives on your credit report. In order to get healthier, you need to remove those negatives. There are two ways to do it – 1. You can dispute the negatives that are untrue. This will get it removed right away and you can have a healthy credit report again. In the health sense, it is like taking medicine to cure your illness. Your second option is to wait it out and let it drop off your credit score after 7 years. Like waiting for a cold to leave your system, waiting for a negative to drop off of your credit report can take some time.

The best way to not get sick is to wash your hands, eat right, and exercise. The best way to not get a bad credit report or have negatives is to pay your bills on time, pay them in full, and to stay out of debt. The biggest factor to determining your credit score is your credit history. This means that by paying your bills on time each and every month, you are not only preventing problems on your credit report, but you are also strengthening your credit score and increasing it over time.

Getting bankruptcy or having your account sent to collections is almost like getting a form of cancer. But instead of having a terminally ill disease affect your body and kill you, bankruptcies and collections only affect your credit report and credit score for 7 years. After 10 years, that bankruptcy or collections on your account will drop off of your credit report and you can start over again. But with the bankruptcy, it will still be on your record, but it won’t affect your credit score after that 10 year mark. So be sure to stay far away from collections and bankruptcy. The best way to do this is to budget your money and do not spend too much on things you don’t need. That way, you can pay your bills on time and in full each month without having to worry about anything.

Free Credit Score Reviews
With so many different credit score sites out there, it’s hard to single out one and choose the best one. They all seem the same, right? How do you distinguish one credit score site from another? In the end they are all providing you a 3-digit number that symbolized your credit rating. But not all credit score sites are equal.

Most sites will give you a free credit report, which is by law supposed to be free to you each and every year. In fact, you can get up to 3 credit reports a year for free and even more if you have been denied for a loan or credit card application. But there is a difference with your credit report and credit score.

Most credit reporting sites will give you a free credit report but no credit score. They will try and up-sell you the credit score for up to $40 just for this 3-digit number. Other sites may also give you a credit score, but it is not a true FICO score. These scores are just estimates of what they think your credit rating may be based on some of the information that they are given.

Make sure that you get a really free credit score and not have to pay upfront for any credit report or credit score. The service provided should be free and your credit score and credit report should follow that same format.

Know that when you do get your credit score that it ranges from 300-850. Any score from 700-850 is considered very good and you will generally get the based interest rates and loan terms if it is solely based on your credit score. Maintaining a credit score this high is a job well done and keeping it within this range will benefit your life in ways you could never imagined.

Any credit score that is 699 and below needs some work done. Any average credit score for any given American individual is in the 600 range. These are average scores and could use a boost or two to jump start it into a better credit score.

When you have made your decision to get your credit score, come back here to read more information on tips and tricks on how to improve your credit score. You will not only be able to get your credit score in a better range, but you can also learn about the ins and outs of all things credit and financial.
See Your Credit Score Like Never Before

Credit Score Mortgage Loan
Imagine if you had the perfect credit score of 850, which is the highest score possible. When applying for credit score mortgage loan, you will definitely get the best interest rate and loan terms. There will be nobody else who will get a better rate than you and you will probably have the best loan rate terms possible.

Even getting an 800 credit score is really good and better than 80% of all Americans. You will belong in the 20th percentile if you can get an 800 credit score. Not to mention that the loans you get will have ultra low interest rates which will save enough money over a lifetime to buy a house.

Having a high credit score usually means one thing and one thing only: you are financially responsible and in control of your finances and your life.

A pretty bold statement but it is true. Having a high credit score means you will never run into any issues about getting approved for a credit card, a loan, a mortgage, or anything financial. It is like a golden ticket into a better life.

Instantly See Your Credit Score in 2 Steps

If less than 20% of all Americans have a credit score of 800, you can imagine how many actually have a perfect credit score. In fact, less than 1% of Americans have a perfect credit score of 850. This 1 percent will always get the best credit score mortgage loans because of their credit rating.

To achieve these scores, these people have been meticulous with their finances. Paying their bills on time and in full each and every month, not having revolving debt, and also having a mix of credit lines open. All these things help reach them to their goal and get the highest possible credit score of 850. It’s a hard feat to manage, but if one is so inclined to do so, they can reach it by being extraordinary with their finances.

When getting a credit score mortgage loan, in order to keep your credit score high, you must pay your monthly loan payments in a timely manner. Even paying 1 bill late for more than 30 days can drop your score by 20 points and even more if the bill is even later. If past 90 days due, your credit score will drop by 60 points at the very least. That is a difference of 3 times for your credit score. Also it is harder for you to build your credit score up than it is to drop it down. One mistake can lower your credit score, but paying a bill on time once won’t raise up it by the same levels.

If you are looking for a low credit score loan, know that this is only a temporary solution to a bigger problem. Keep reading to improve your credit score and get approved for loans a lot easier.

Check your credit score right now for free.

Low Credit Score Loan
When searching for a low credit score loan, you will only get denied for most of the loans you apply to and the rest of the loans that you actually do get approved will have a extremely high interest rate. With a low credit score, you are viewed by banks and lenders as having a high credit risk and have a higher chance of defaulting on the loan. If you are unable to pay the loan back, most banks do not want to take that chance and not get their money back.

You can get your credit score for free right here.

Instead of looking for a low credit score loan, work on the long term effects of improving your credit score. It will take a considerably longer time to fix your credit score than it will to find a quick loan, but the benefits will pay itself off at least ten fold. In effect, going for just the quick loan with a high interest for people with a low credit score is only a temporary band-aid fix to the problem. The issue lies deeper and here are some ways to fix your credit score.

1.	Budget. The first thing to do is to create a financial budget and stick to it. Trim the fat and get rid of expenses that you do not need. If you have debt, pay that off as soon as you can. Don’t buy things that you don’t need and live cheaply for a few months just to pay off that debt. In other words, live below your means.

2.	Pay your Bills. Make absolutely sure that you always pay your bills on time and in full. Do not buy anything that you cannot afford and pay off your balances on all your credit cards.

3.	Check your Credit. Make it a habit to check your credit score and your credit report for any errors. Dispute any errors and get them taken off of your credit report. That way you can increase your credit score and get approved for loans.
Be patient and know that change takes time. You may have bad financial habits that are ingrained deeply into your daily routine. In order for chance to happen and for it to be positive is that you need to stay consistent and persistent with your actions.

When getting your free credit report, keep these things in mind as they can help make it or break it for your credit score. Read more to find out.

Click here to get your free credit score without having to wait.

Your Free Credit Report
Your free credit report should include first your personal information such as your name, former names used, social security number, current and previous addresses, and employers on record. Make sure these things are all correct so that you know you have the right report. Sometimes because of human errors, your free credit report may get mixed up with someone else of a similar name or similar social security number.

Tip: To minimize the chances of getting your credit report mixed with someone else’s, make sure you use the same name when filling out applications for car loans, home loans, or credit card applications. Also be sure that you write legibly and in blue or black ink.

Your credit report will also include information such as any past due credit accounts, the length of your credit history, and any accounts with negative indicators. Having your bills paid on time each and every month will help your credit score. Also having a long credit history can boost your score. Because there is not much you can do about the age of your credit history besides wait, there is not much leg room there. There is something you can do about the average age of your credit lines: be sure not to try and open too many credit lines at one time. Not only will it cause more inquiries to show up, it will reduce your average credit history length.

Get your free credit score now instantly. Click here.

Next, your credit report should show the total balance of your revolving accounts, and mortgages, or installment loans. Looking at the total number of accounts you have open, it’s important to know that having fewer accounts with balances is better for your credit score. Also having too many accounts opened in the last year will deduct some points off of your credit score. Make sure to wait at least a year before applying and not having too many inquires. The inquiries on your account do drop from your free credit report after about 2 years.

Your credit report will then get into a deep dive of all your accounts whether if they are open or have been closed. It will show the most recent balance from those credit lines and show you if it is causing any negatives on your credit profile.

We mentioned inquiries before and these indicate when a lender, bank, business, or even yourself has tried and accessed your credit report. Note that when you check your own credit report, it will not hurt your credit score because it is a soft pull.

FICA Credit Score? FICO Credit Score!
I have heard credit scores be called the FICA credit score and FICO credit score and it unnerves me when people say it by the wrong name and call it the FICA credit score. Before we continue, we must establish the fact the it is called the FICO credit score, named after the company who founded it.

Note that when you check your FICO credit score, there are a few things that can help raise that credit score. Namely, it is by having a long credit account history, not missing or late for any payments and bills, having a low credit usage, recent use of your credit card, and finally, having no collection or record on your credit profile.

I recently got my FICO credit score and was told that I got a 763 which is very good. In fact, it is above average for most consumers in the United States. Are you curious to see how your credit score stands?

Click here for your free credit score instantly.

With my high credit score, if I were to apply for a credit card, mortgage, or car loan, the chances for getting denied for any of these is very unlikely when based on my credit score alone. In fact, my application for a credit card, home or auto loan, will not only get approved, but I will most likely get the best interest rates and terms. In other words, I will get the most competitive or attractive rates. On my credit cards, I should also get very high limits because I am deemed as someone with a low credit risk.

Consumers with a high credit score are likely to pose less of a risk to banks and lenders because there or no missed payments and they will not likely default on a loan. FICO credit scores are used to determine the risk level of the consumer and it is a very powerful number. In fact, only 2% of the people with a score of 759-799 will ever run into any serious credit trouble. It is very unlikely that these borroweres will have a 90 day late or missing payment, declare bankruptcy, or have any account charge-offs.

Along with your credit score, you should also take a look at your credit report. Here you will find information that all three credit bureaus collect on you. Such information includes any past due accounts, the credit history, and any accounts with negative indicators.

Curious about your FICO credit score? You should be. But don’t worry, it is free to get your credit score and it does not hurt your credit score if you check it yourself.

Free Credit Score Report Online
When I checked my credit score online for free, I got a 763, which is considered great. Credit scores range from 300-850, so a credit score of 763 is really good. My score was well above the average score of all consumers in the United States. This tells lenders and banks that I will be an exceptional borrower and they will give me the best interest rate and loan terms. Because higher scores are better, the higher your credit score, the more likely you will be looked at as a favorable lender with low credit risk.

There are four main factors which were driving my credit score from TransUnion. They were:
1.	Payment History
2.	Amount of Debt
3.	Length of Credit History
4.	Amount of New Credit

My payment history tells the history of paying bills on time and not missing any payments. Because I have never missed any payments on all my credit accounts, this helps raise my score and if I stay current with my bills it will continue to improve my credit score. To give you an idea, 93% of people with great credit have not missed any payments at all. This is the most important deciding factor to your credit score. Those 7% of people with great credit who have missed a payment, that missed payment was more than 4 years ago so it doesn’t affect their credit score as much. But as you can see from the percentages, the majority of high credit score consumers have never missed a payment. This should give you some indication on how to improve your score if you have a low credit score.

Another factor that helped raise my credit score was the amount of total debt that I had. My credit utilization ratio is the amount of total debt divided by all my credit lines open. The ratio of my revolving balances to my credit limit was 13%. Generally it is told that keeping the credit utilization ratio under 20% is good. The lower the percentage, the better. For instance, for all the people with high credit scores, their credit utilization ratio was 7%.

Length of credit history also plays a big role in determining my credit score. My oldest account was opened more than 15 years ago, but the average of all people with high credit score had their oldest account at 19 years ago. There is nothing I can do here except wait for the passage of time.

The average age of all accounts for high credit score consumers is between 6 years to 12 years. The credit score algorithm takes a look at both your oldest account and the average age of all your accounts. If you have a lot of new credit being opened, this will lower the average of the age of all your credit lines. It’s best to not open too many credit lines at one time.

Keep these tips in mind that the 4 factors above that influence your credit score the most include mostly paying bills on time, having a long credit history, not having too much debt, and not opening too many accounts at one time.

After the new credit card rules took effect in the month of August, cardholders had a mixed reaction with them. There was some good news as well as bad news for the cardholders. The new rules have been brought in to protect credit card users from illegal practices of the credit card companies. They are protected against unreasonable payment and other penalty fees under the latest credit card rules that came into effect from August 22. The main motive for passing these rules is to increase the credit score of the consumers. Studies show that credit scores have historically dropped down in recent years. Thus the new credit card rules are designed to enhance the credit scores of all the credit card holders.

Click here for your free credit score now.

The new credit card rules prohibit credit card companies from charging a fee more than $25 in case of late payments except under extreme circumstances. If the consumer has been late in making his payments once in the last 6 months, then the late fee can be increased to $35 or more and if the credit card company feels that the costs incurred due to the late payment deserves a higher fee. If the consumer has not defaulted on his payments, then he cannot be charged a late fee more than $25. Due to this limitation consumers can decrease their monthly payments which often used to be higher due to high rate of late fees and penalties. This will appear as a positive mark on the credit report and thereby augment the credit score.

Credit card holders will no longer face multiple penalty fees if he has carried out a single transaction that has violated the credit card agreement. Starting in February, credit card issuers were prohibited from raising the interest rates and other fees on the existing balance as long as the customer paid his bills on time. They are also required to notify customers about the increase in the interest rate at least 45 days prior to the change. This rule will help the consumers know about the perspective changes and what effect it can have on his finances. He can thereby manage his finances in a better way so as to arrange the money for his credit card payments and protect his credit score from getting hurt.

According to the new credit card rules, a credit card company has to explain the reason of a hike in the APR, if done. Usually consumers have often complained of facing sudden hike in APR which increased their monthly minimum payments considerably. But now this rule has been made to safeguard the consumers against such practices of credit card issuers. The consumer can file a dispute if he thinks that the reason showed for APR hike is not justified. The card company should also re-evaluate the APR every six months if they see that the cardholder is timely with his payments. This re-evaluation can benefit the consumers and can positively affect their credit report and increase their credit score.

If you are a card holder, you must be aware that your credit score is the most important thing that should be kept in mind to help yourself with getting further lines of credit. The credit card rules have been incorporated in order to take care of the consumers and monitor that they are not facing any kind of stricter practices or conflict of interest. This set of key changes in the way of handling credit cards will certainly improve your credit score and make you creditworthy.

Your credit score loan rate is primarily affected by how risky you are perceived by lenders and banks. The assessment of this risk is determined by your credit score. Read more to find out.

Click here to see your credit score for free and compare with the chart below.

Credit Score Loan Rate
Your credit score can greatly affect the interest rate on your loans and you can be paying a lot more in interest a month versus someone else with the same exact loan, but they have a better credit score than you. Now more than ever, it is important to improve your credit score so that you don’t get swindled into paying more interest for nothing.

For example, let’s take a look at a half a million-dollar mortgage for a home loan in California. Here are the numbers, a $500,000 home loan for a 30-year mortgage in California (if you are not from California, you can use this number as a general gauge).

As you can see, if you have a really low credit score, you can be paying more than $1,000 a month in interest alone. That’s $12,000 a year and throughout the lifetime of your 30-year loan, it is $360,000 in extra interest that is paid because of a low interest rate. From the chart above you can see that the APR interest rate exponentially increases as the credit score decreases.

Click here to see what your credit score is for free.

From the graphical representation, you can clearly see that having a high credit score is important in determining your credit score loan rate. No body wants to pay 6 figures in just interest alone because of having a low credit score.

The one thing you can do that can greatly increase your credit score is to pay your credit card balance on time and in full each and every month. If you do this alone and never miss a payment, you will get a pretty good credit score. Some other factors that determine your credit score is your credit history. Be sure to never close any credit cards because that can shorten your credit history length and therefore, it can affect your credit score.

Having a low credit score does not only affect your chances of getting approved for loans and getting the best interest rates and terms. But did you know that your credit score can also affect getting approved for credit cards, and even getting accepted for the best terms for insurance: auto insurance, mortgage insurance, and homeowners insurance. And last but not least, your credit score can affect you getting approved for a lease and even it can deny you for employment opportunities.

If this does not scare you into improving your credit score, it should. Your credit score can determine even the littlest things about your life. Be sure to get on top of it and start right now to see what your credit score is at this point.
